Why there's no peace in God's Chosen people?

It is sad to think that God’s chosen people have no peace until today even they believed in the God of peace in the Bible. Throughout the bible, Israel always experiences battling with their surrounding nations just to have peace on the land. What was the main problem here, claiming territories or just forgetting something on their holy book?

I think they forgot the verse of Isaiah 9:6-7.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Notice the word “Prince of Peace”, Majority of Christians believes that the verses were talking to no other than but Jesus. It was Jesus who can give peace to the land of Israel because the peace from Jesus is unlikable and uncomparable as what he'd said in John 14:27, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."

The key to peace on God's chosen people is to accept the “Prince of Peace” which is their true messiah, Jesus. That's their solution in finding peace on their land, but most of the Jews didn't accept Jesus as their messiah. They rejected Jesus because he is not fit to the description of their Tanakh, known to Christians as the old testament bible. In Christian’s perspective, Jesus was the messiah because he fulfilled mostly old testament descriptions which happen in the new testament and where the Jews never accepted it as part of their holy bible.

Anyway, all these things must happen to fulfill some biblical prophecies. It was written also in the Holy Bible that the Messiah will be rejected by his people. According to Isaiah 53:3 states,

He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. Imagine, those 5000 people whom Jesus feed, rejects him. But still, Jesus forgives.

.

Back to the topic, Israel will have peace during his return or his second coming. And that’s the fulfillment of Isaiah 6:7 that his peace shall no end. The Prince of Peace will govern his people as a king that’s why he will be called the King of Kings and THe Lord of Lords. He will be the head of his people, (the head of the church), and his church is us, his people. There were no longer called Jews or Christians on that day, but we are one in Christ, his offspring.

Conclusion:

AS a believer, whether Jew or Christian or Arab or any race, we must accept Jesus as our Prince of Peace to inherit the peace that even the world cannot give. And that’s the dwelling place or the secret place of the most High where there shall no evil befall thee according to Psalm 91 whole chapter. The key to finding peace is accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Israel needs Jesus to find peace in its land.
